Title Gyeongju National Park opened “Tohamsan Mountain Information Center”

Gyeongju National Park Office of the Korea National Park Service opened Tohamsan Mountain Information Center at the entrance of Bulguksa Temple ,which is the representative area in the Tohamsan Mountain district of Gyeongju National Park, as a part of global visit culture management on August 20.


Through the opening of the Information center, the park authorities is going to use this center as a strongpoint gap for visitors so that they can make a meaningful visit to Gyeongju National Park having a living history of a thousand years while relieving inconvenience in communication, which was surveyed to be a discomfort specially to foreign visitors at the Bulguksa Temple area which attracts more than 2 million visitors(the proportion of foreigners is about 18%) on an annual basis.

In addition, the park authorities are serving to accurate information service and convenience improvement for foreign visitors by constantly placing multilingual(English, Japanese, and Chinese) interpreter for visit information; on top of that, the same authorities make a full preparation for visitors' safety management by keeping a variety of visit convenience articles and safety device such as the automated external defibrillator(AED)inside the Information center.
