- Habitat :
Valleys with a deciduous forest, rivers, watercourses, and reservoirs.

- Shape Characteristics :
These ducks have a flamboyant appearance. Male ducks have a white brow line and large, yellow and fan-shaped wing feathers with a red beak, while female ducks have a thin brow line with a black beak.

- Ecological Characteristics :
They also breed in artificial nests, sit on trees, and live in groups in winter.

- Feed :
Tree fruits, snails, small freshwater fish, etc…

- Special Characteristics :
These rare resident ducks live near mountain streams all over Korea, particularly in Gumisan Mountain and Tohamsan Mountain in Gyeongju National Park all around the seasons. They’re designated as a natural monument, and there is a need to increase their number as well as habitats.
