Gayasan Mountain home to Haeinsa Temple, a Buddhist temple well known for Palman Daejanggyeong (Tripitaka Koreana). The mountain is also famous in terms of feng shui, since it never had water, wind, and fire disasters. It was also not damaged by wars.
