Ulsanbawi Rock Course
- Travel Time : 2 hours 20 minutes
- Distance : 3.8 ㎞
It is one of hardest hiker’s courses in Seoraksan National Park. The top is 876m high. Here, you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the mountain, including the view of Daecheongbong, the highest peak, Sokcho and the East Sea.
There is a following story handed down about the rocks: One day, the chief god ordered that all beautiful mountains be gathered at Geumgangsan Mountain in connection with his plan to build 12,000 peaks there. Ulsanbawi Rock started its trip from Ulsan to follow the order. On its way, it took some time to take a rest. When it reached the destination, it heard that the project had already been finished, meaning that it was late. On its way back to Ulsan, it thought that the place where it took a rest was no less beautiful than Geumgangsan and decided to stay there.
